Our location is unique, because you are staying in the beautiful historic town of Killaloe. Our fishing boats are moored in the river Shannon in the middle of the town. It only takes 5 minutes to get from the mooring to the lake. Of course you can fish the river Shannon as well!
Lough Derg is a big lake with clear water, reeds, many islands and nice weed beds! There are good numbers of big pike in the lake as well as perch, roach, trout and a few other species. The scenery around the lake is beautiful and the hills on both sides offer protection in the most common wind directions.
My name is Ferdinand Heijerman and I am originally from The Netherlands. Since 1988 I have fished on many lakes in Ireland including Lough Derg. During these fishing trips I fell in love with the fishing, the beautiful scenery and the friendly Irish people. My favourite lake to fish during these holiday trips was and still is Lough Derg. In 1995 my wife and myself decided to move to Ireland and since than I am doing what I love: trying to provide you with an unforgettable and successful fishing holiday!
