I provide a package with B&B, boat hire and if you wish guiding. You can also book your own accommodation and I can provide boat hire and guiding. The B&B is situated a short walk from restaurants and pubs.
Lakeland House Bed & Breakfast
Lakeland House B&B is situated in a quiet location at a short walk from restaurants and pubs. Your friendly hostess Trudy will do anything to make your stay pleasant and unforgettable. There are 4 ensuite bedrooms and a sitting room with comfortable armchairs, a sofa, tv and a small fridge. Bedlinnen, towels and a continental style Self Service breakfast are included in the price. You will find all the ingredients you need to make your own breakfast in the kitchen. You can also make your own lunch and bring this out on the lake. A lunch box and a flask are provided free of charge. The kitchen can also be used by the guests to make your own diner if you wish. The kitchen is for guests only and is fully equipped with electric cooker, oven, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. There is also free wifi and free parking at the B&B. The hire boats are moored 800 meters away from the B&B so car hire is strongly recommended to get to the boat with all the gear. There is parking beside the mooring.

Trident Holiday homes
These 3 bedroomed houses are situated just on the edge of the town. A 10 minute walk brings you to the centre of the town. These holiday homes offer an open plan living/dining and kitchen, 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is wifi. See: Trident Holiday Homes
Killaloe
Killaloe is separated from its twin town Ballina on the other side of the river Shannon by an 300 year old stone bridge. In the 2 towns you will find 10 pubs, 8 restaurants, 3 takeaways, 3 supermarkets and a few smaller shops, a bank, a banklink (cash machine) etc.. There is a really nice relaxed atmosphere in the pubs and it is easy to get into a conversation with the locals. A few pubs have live music every week. The restaurants offer great food at modest prices. You can get a 3-course meal from as little as 25 euro.
The fishing boats are moored in the river Shannon that flows through Killaloe and Ballina. From here, it takes only 5 minutes to get to the lake.
History of Killaloe
Just over a 1000 years ago Brian Boru, the High King of Ireland, lived in Killaloe in his palace called “Kincora”. During that periode Killaloe was in a way the capital of Ireland! Brian Boru and his men defeated the Vikings at the battle of Clontarf. His fort was located at the strategic point where the Shannon flows out of Lough Derg. Every summer there is a Brian Boru festival in Killaloe.
